The OnStar® Guardian™
With the OnStar Guardian app, a Member can get assistance with medical emergencies or personal safety situations in or out of any vehicle. An OnStar Emergency-Certified Advisor is ready to help 24/7. They can assist Members with situations such as panic attacks, allergic reactions, chest pains and more — even situations where they feel unsafe.
Pushing the red Emergency button in the OnStar Guardian app gives Members priority access to an Emergency-Certified Advisor. These Advisors are specially trained to assist during a medical emergency. They can also contact First Responders, providing them with your precise
OnStar Guardian can also be used when a Member feels they are in personal danger or an unsafe situation.
The Emergency button in OnStar Guardian can also be used to help others in need. If a Member witnesses an event such as a vehicle crash, they can act as a Good Samaritan and request help on another person’s behalf.
If you are in immediate danger, you should always call 911.
Once you’re logged into the OnStar Guardian app, it will remain active and functional in the background until you log out, even if you close the app. If you don’t see notifications while on your drive, then once the vehicle is in a parked state, you must enable notifications for the Guardian app in the system preferences on your device.
